I went to this location for a second opinion on some work I have to have done regarding upcoming cancer treatment. I... was treated with honesty, respect, and a empathy for why I was there. The treatment plan was inclusive of work that wasn't included in the plan from the first office I visited. I was so pleased with how I was dealt with, I'm trying to get my wife to see them.read more

I cannot say enough about this office. Dr. Birch is amazing, the whole office is caring, friendly and very... professional. I got my upper partials today and when I looked in the mirror, I’m not gonna lie, I had a couple of tears in there. Everything matches well with them, you can barely tell that I have partials in. I am a person who loves to smile and Dr. Birch and his staff gave me my smile back! When I say they went above and beyond for me, I truly mean they went above and beyond! I would recommend this office to anyone and everyone! Thank you Dr. Birch and his amazing staff! I will be back for my bottom partials for sure!read more

Bad breath from the throat can be embarrassing and affect one's confidence in social situations. Understanding the causes and taking steps to prevent and treat bad breath from the throat is essential for improving overall health and well-being.
If your breath still smells bad even after brushing your teeth it may be a sign of gum disease and/or cavities. The bacteria that cause bad breath can hide in cavities in your teeth. This makes it difficult to get rid of the bacteria when you're brushing your teeth because it's hidden in places that you can't reach. Similarly, these bacteria can hide in deep pockets caused by gum disease.
Catching gum disease before it happens is important to prevent symptoms such as halitosis. Check your gums daily to watch for changes in colour, bleeding, soreness, puffiness, or sensitive teeth.

Dry mouth, or xerostomia, is another factor that can lead to bad breath. Saliva plays a crucial role in washing away bacteria and food particles in the mouth. When there is a decrease in saliva production, such as during sleep or due to certain medications, bad breath can occur.

Bad breath is primarily caused by bacteria that reside in our mouths. These bacteria break down food particles and release sulfur compounds, which are responsible for the unpleasant odor associated with bad breath. Poor oral hygiene, such as not brushing or flossing regularly, allows these bacteria to thrive and produce more sulfur compounds.

Salty water can be gargled several times a day to dislodge an existing stone. This is a preferred method of treatment for many people because the alternative of using a toothbrush or Q-tip to pick a stone out is usually met with intense gagging. Picking at tonsil stones is discouraged by doctors because the tissue at the back of the throat is delicate and could be damaged. Doctors recommend treatment such as tonsillectomy only in extreme cases of repeat stones and infection.
