Bad breath is caused by various factors, including poor oral hygiene, certain foods and drinks, smoking, dry mouth, and underlying health conditions. The most common cause of bad breath is the buildup of bacteria in the mouth. These bacteria break down food particles and release foul-smelling gases as a byproduct.
Controlling periodontal disease and maintaining good oral health helps to reduce bad breath. If you have constant bad breath, make a list of the foods you eat and any medications you take. Some medications may contribute to bad breath.

Crooks!I went in for a 6 month cleaning and check up. None of my teeth bothered me.Turns out this must be the... absolute best dentist ever, because he has to re-do everything any other dentist has ever done to my teeth because they did it wrong. $8,000... Keep in mind none of my teeth are even hurting, everything is fine. They wanted me to pay $8,000 to get all my dental work, which was fine, replaced. I think somebody wants a new boat.I made it very clear I just wanted what my insurance would cover for the check-up. They went ahead and took digital photos, and are now trying to bill me for the photos, and sending it to collections. A great experience the office is clean, professional and most importantly the staff is caring. My dentist, Dr. Kerbs is... looking for the long term solution and only makes recommendations as they are needed. I switched to PFD after receiving the recommendation for an implant and bone graft from my family dentist and a specialist. I was comparing prices, for the implant. I did not even feel I needed a second opinion at this point. I was in extreme pain. Dr. Kerbs said we could do an implant if needed but wanted to try and adjust my bite in stages with a bite block first. A couple months later, no pain and the implant is not even a consideration at this point.read more
When the Lamberts started putting the vaguely medical sounding "halitosis" in their ads, they framed it as a health condition that was keeping people from being their very best selves. Inglis-Arkell describes the campaign’s direction:
If you start feeling flu-like symptoms, you may be getting a sinus infection. Visit a medical professional as soon as possible so you can receive antibiotics if you need them. Nasal washes can also help reduce the mucus produced from the nose to the throat.
In turn, we can divide the causes of halitosis or bad breath into two categories: Non-pathological and pathological.
Some essential oils such as lemongrass, myrrh, cinnamon, and tea tree oil contain anti-inflammatory, antifungal, and antibacterial properties that make them excellent for preventing and treating tonsil stones.
Walking around with bad breath is something that’s not only detrimental to your health but also a nuisance to those around you.
It is true that in a small percentage of cases bad breath is caused by a problem elsewhere in the body such as the ear, nose and throat, kidneys, lungs or intestines, but when this does happen it’s unusual for halitosis to be the only symptom.
An upper respiratory infection is a contagious infection of the structures of the upper respiratory tract, which includes the sinuses, nasal passages, pharynx, and larynx. Common causes of an upper respiratory infection include bacteria and viruses such as rhinoviruses, group A streptococci, influenza, respiratory syncytial, whooping cough, diphtheria, and Epstein-Barr. Examples of symptoms of upper respiratory infection include sneezing, sore throat, cough, fever, and nasal congestion. Treatment of upper respiratory infections are based upon the cause. Generally, viral infections are treated symptomatically with over-the-counter (OTC) medication and home remedies.

You can tell you have tonsil stones if you can see the white deposits trapped in the crevices of your tonsils. Other times, you might notice them when they come out, “appearing” suddenly in your throat or mouth. They are usually white and can be soft and/or gritty.
Flossing is a crucial part of maintaining good oral health and fresh breath. While brushing your teeth cleans the surfaces of your teeth, flossing helps remove plaque and food particles from between your teeth and along the gumline. Here are some reasons why flossing is important:
