Halitosis that is caused by a persistent dry mouth is due to a lack of saliva. Because your saliva washes away the leftover food particles that can make your breath smell, an inadequate amount of it can mean those particles stay put. Drinking water is an easy way of mimicking saliva, and will help to rinse away the debris that leads to bad breath. Keep a water bottle with you whenever possible so you can sip on water throughout the day to keep bad breath at bay
Acid reflux is caused by an overly relaxed lower esophageal sphincter (LES). It is a muscle that acts as a barrier to the stomach and operates similarly to a valve. When it is working correctly, it will open to allow food to pass through the esophagus into the stomach, but when it is too relaxed or faulty, it will remain open, allowing the contents in the stomach to flow back upwards.

The alternative is to scrape your tongue with a special tongue cleaner. This method is also under assessment in the newest Cochrane review. Their last report found just two small trials looking at this method. They showed it can work, but that the effect is short-lived. Called to schedule an appointment as I thought I had an abscess. Office was able to get me in the same day, which I was... thankful for as I had yet to find a new dentist. Check in was quick. Front office staff was very professional & friendly. Panoramic & bitewing x-rays were taken. Also inserted a tiny camera in my mouth & took pictures of all of my teeth. Dr. Birch confirmed that I had an abscessed tooth & explained to me my treatment options. I was given a print out of my treatment plan & costs. Gave me a prescription for antibiotics & scheduled me for my tooth extraction next week. Great experience overall!read more
Another great way you can try to remove them is you start using mouthwash in the morning and right after you eat before bed. This way any food particles stuck in there loosen up or just fall right out. Another thing you can do is gargle with some warm salt water. This is a great way to make loose tonsil stones fall right out of your tonsils and of course, you just spit them into the sink. You suggest grabbing some luke warm water and add enough salt that it is useful but not super unpleasant to have in your mouth. Then gargle to try to knock the bacteria out. You can do this as many times as you want but we recommend three times.
